SATSANG
Satsang is a conscious music collective. Creating a unique blend of soul, folk-rock and hip-hop, Satsang delivers lyrics that come from and are rooted in change, growth, awareness, and imperfection. The live show is a gathering of people to assimilate and share their truths. The rhythms put forth by the band keep everyone on their feet, and the lyrics leave them craving active and positive change. Satsang has toured the country and shared the stage with Michael Franti & Spearhead, Steel Pulse, Nahko, Trevor Hall, Chris Berry, Mike Love, Jon Wayne and the Pain, Tubby Love, and many more.
Lead singer and songwriter Drew McManus creates music fueled by the ever present task of personal growth and the beautiful life that he found in the Beartooth Mountains. “I grew up in an environment where aggression, violence, abuse, and addiction were always present. It made me angry, sad, and ashamed. I hated my story and I was a slave to addiction. I tried for so long to hide from the reality of my story and the reality of how beautiful life could be.” It wasn’t until an intense spiritual experience lead Drew to break his cycle of addiction. “I began to realize that had everything not happened to me exactly like it did, I would not be exactly who/where/ what I am right now.” In an effort to share his revelation with others who may be in the same predicament, Drew began to write every day. “I was flooded with the urge to write down the lessons that kept revealing themselves in this surrender. And the connections I began making with other people by making this music vulnerable and open, began to change everything.” These songs are a statement of lessons learned and a further understanding of self. “The whole story is what makes it beautiful, not just the good bits.”

SESA O'CONNNOR
YOGA TEACHER
Where does my yoga journey begin? The best answer would maybe be… in some other life. I was lucky enough to be born and raised in a family that lives and breathes true yoga. I grew up learning and practicing mantra meditation and yoga as a lifestyle. Having grown up living around yoga my whole life, I decided to pursue an AA degree in International Business. As the busyness of “life” began to come to the forefront, my yogic upbringing became less of an importance and focus.

After graduating with honors, I soon found myself unexpectedly pregnant… Deciding to take a hiatus from the things that had primarily taken up my time and energy – college, full time work, travel and surfing – I was able to reflect on and return to my yoga roots. This is when I realized how important yoga is to me and my spiritual progression. Humbling myself I decided to embark on a 200 hour teacher training program with Tamal Yoga School to help build upon my life experiences and knowledge of yoga.

After becoming a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, I realized this was the perfect tool to share the amazing life changing powers of yoga that have molded me into the – daughter, sister, mother, lover and friend – I am today.

MEGHAN MORRIS
YOGA TEACHER
Meghan is the founder of Amba for Women, an embodied feminine yoga and movement school in Topanga Canyon. Meghan started her yoga journey in her teens as a way to heal her relationship with her body and connect to her essence. Many years along the road of teaching and practicing yoga, Meghan began to dive into the feminine stream of earth-based embodied awakening. As she dove deeper into the practice, and it transformed every aspect of her entire life, Meghan began to notice that the yoga world at large was greatly lacking in the feminine aspects of the practice. This awareness and passion birthed Amba. Amba is for women who desire to live in their place of power, where their light essence weaves through their physical body. From this place of power, we have access to creational energy, and can manifest much more easily. In Amba, we see our bodies as sacred: They are vessels of creation. We see our bodies as wild: They are the wisdom of nature in motion. Our bodies are loved: They are cherished in each breath we are given. ambamovement.com

LULU BERTON
MEDITATION & KIRTAN FACILITATOR
Lulu has been in the meditation field for over thirteen years. Her journey to Self-Realization began in her home-country, Italy, when she received initiation in Dzogchen, or the Great Perfection teachings of Tibetan Buddhism. She soon realized that meditation was more than a powerful way to destress, it taught her the art of living. After moving to Los Angeles, Lulu immersed herself in Vedic and Vipassana meditation. She learned to purify her mind, but it was only after attending her first Kirtan that her heart finally melted. Her love for chanting and leading Kirtan led her to find God in Bhakti Yoga.
Lulu is based in Santa Monica, but travels the world leading meditation and yoga retreats in private estates. Her current public classes are held at Ceremony Meditation in Venice Beach. She is a passionate storyteller and published author, contributing editor to The Daily Mail, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan and Vogue magazines. Her background includes certifications in Hatha Yoga, Thai Bodywork and Mindful-Self-Compassion, along with several Breathwork trainings under the direct tutelage of Wim Hof.
Lulu's ultimate life purpose is to share unique tools for finding happiness and freedom. Over the past ten years, she has created and taught a unique Yoga, Breathwork and Meditation program devoted to visually impaired students of the Braille Institute of Los Angeles. After years of study and practice she has developed a meditation technique called, Bhakti Meditation: Path Of The Heart. Inspired by Bhakti Yoga, Vipassana and non-dual Tantra lineages, this practice is based on the premise that the mind cannot be purified without the melting of the heart.
GABRIEL LOGAN BRAUN
SOUND HEALER
At 16 years old I was disillusioned with the world and life as I knew it, I dropped out of school and a year later walked into my first yoga class. During savasana, Govindas and Radha’s music took me on a transcendent journey of sound vibration. I realized that we are human instruments. Like any instrument, we need regular tuning for our parts to function as a resonant whole.
A few years later, I dove into the world of Kirtan and devotional music, studying bhakti yoga and classical Indian music with Sheela Bringi, Govindas Rosen and Saul David Raye, the yoga of guitar with Josh Brill, and shakuhachi and bansuri flute with Eric Vaughn. Soon after, Elijah Ray Lenhart took me on as a student of music and sound healing.
I no longer believe I have to leave where I am to “find myself.” I continue to create movement and change in my life and more stability to stand my ground. I offer sound healing and sacred world music events as well as life coaching and sound therapy at rehab centers in the greater Los Angeles area and beyond.
